Farewell West Coast

And so it’s over. This life, dream, and ambition will have to be thread through a new needle. When love has two faces, passion comes in third. Later is where it will be found again, and with new meaning and hopefully more love. I will be leaving, and hope to come back. I am stunned at my lack of longing to stay. I know I will miss this place and people scattered around it, though can’t feel it yet. Maybe when I leave it will hit me, and it will be too late, and I too far to do anything about it. I hope I’m not making a mistake. I hope this will lead me where I want to go.
Vancouver, remember me!
Toronto, welcome me (back)!

Oh How We Love To Love

The joining of souls happens when you least expect it. When you laugh so hard together, you think you’ll stop breathing, when you feel comfort from their presence or when you’ll do anything to see them smile. Two souls confirmed their love through marriage this weekend, and what a beautiful sight it was. I was lucky enough to be welcomed to this joyous event, and enjoyed every second.

Congratulations to the lovely couple!

Say Thank You?

While it is true that a job well done is not always recognized, it is sad to see when the recognition is of a disapproving tone. Some people might find that a good look in the mirror may be helpful when deciding who is actually the asshole in certain situations. While not every decision made by those around is going to be the same choice you would have made, respecting these decisions will help you build character. Alternatively, you could do it yourself, become the brunt of all problems, and see what thankless work feels like. That being said, I would like to thank those who have helped make my life easier. In return, I will extend the offer of helping in anyway I can, so to make your life easier.

Success

I love, love, love when friends step in to help. A rather daunting task, which could have otherwise sent me through he roof in frustration, was swiftly executed today. My photo-shoot was a breeze, and the pictures turned out magnificent! As I am a minimalistic person in most ways, it was nice that she was abler to capture this approach on film. Madame, you know who you are, and I thank you sooooo much for your help. J

Check … Mate

While it is certain that this life will not turn out to be as expected, I do expect that this life will turn out. More and more choices are taken from us as life’s adventures continue. Choices, or so I thought, that were ours to make. Choices, which in my life, I should know by now, aren’t mine at all. Even still, I like to believe I get a say somewhere in all this. Shouldn’t we though? Shouldn’t we all get a say, or at least believe we get one? Where we end up, with whom we end up, and what it will all look like? I still believe this. As more choices are taken, more restrictions are made, and the puzzle pieces become smaller, I trust that the pieces will all fit together. I do trust in the process – what I question is the method.

rough day

As it turns out, the simplest days can turn out to be the most frustrating.
I believed that my day would have consisted of hemming my shirt, giving a final press to all of my garments, then working on my patterns. Oh no, that was not to be true. After moving the bust darts, that ended up being 3cm higher than they should have been, putting in my zipper twice, and realizing that the only melon the neckline fits over is my own (which is the size of a typical 3 year old), it turns out that the agenda for my night is now to hem my shirt.
I will laugh as to not cry...

For The Second Time?

As I neared the end of my silk shirt this afternoon, I noticed a large water stain on the left sleeve. UGH!
After re-cutting the pieces, I have the sleeves attached to the body. Tomorrow I will be taking the collar off of shirt number one and attaching it to shirt number two.
So much for getting outfit one finished by Sunday...

Just Because

So it seems as though this is a good idea.
